After 5 years of waiting for a family to call her own, Sadie deserves her own 'happily ever after' and on 12/31/2021, her 5 year anniversary here.  Sadie was given sanctuary status and will live out her days here with us.

Sadie, along with her 3 year old intact son arrived here on 12/31/2016. They were  surrendered by the teenage owners parents after she moved out and failed to continue to provide their daily care, which was a stipulation of her parents allowing them to remain with them.  The parents were not horse savy and felt it was in their best interest to get them into a better situation. 
Sadie was estimated to be 20+ in 2016 and being a 'grey', she suffers from melanoma. Unfortunately she was not the  "in your pocket" type, so advanced age and the fact that she was not overly interested in people, left her with little hope of being adopted .
However, she has always been a wonderful companion to the other mini's so we hoped that one day someone would come along and adopt her as a buddy for their mini, but sadly that day never came.
