Meet SOPHIA!!!

 

Sophia was rescued and surrendered to us by a good samaritan. She came to us quite emaciated after weaning her foal in late November 2014 (we do not have her foal).

She is a 22 year old, 37"  AMHR registered appaloosa mare. She has not had much handling as she probably spent much of her life as a broodmare. She is handled daily but is hard to catch unless she is in a small area. Once she is caught she leads and handles fine but is a bit nervous. She has already gotten much easier to catch in a confined area so I think with time she will continue to improve as she realizes she can trust us. She would make a wonderful companion horse.

She is UTD on vaccinations, de-worming, farrier and dental. Her adoption fee is $150 with approved application and signed no breeding, no re-homing contract.
